Welcome to the #tresfam!

Let me tell you a little bit about how we got here.

It was the Summer of 2019...

I had just moved to London from the US, with my English husband and our six week old baby boy.

Life was full of firsts, full of joy (and let's be honest, full of "am
I doing this right?
"). All to be expected.

What I didn't expect, however, was to find it impossible to find baby clothes for my son that I actually liked.

I couldn't see anything in the market that reflected my clean, minimalist and modern aesthetic. Even worse, I was shocked by how gendered and archaic the mainstream kidswear market was when it came to design, fit and messaging.

Market research suggested that there were many parents looking for a more modern take on babywear and kids clothes.

This is a sign, I thought.

As an American fashion designer, I had trained in luxury womenswear at Parsons, The New School of Design, in New York, and subsequently worked corporate before landing on English soil.

Tres London was born in early 2020, at the height of the pandemic.

I designed the first collection in a matter of months -- sketching, iterating and sketching again.

It had to be perfect, and it had to be done in the UK. I wanted to build a company that stood for something, and that supported our local economy along the way.

Little did I know, the pandemic and Brexit had other plans.

I laboured for nearly two years to find a local manufacturer with no real luck until August of 2022, when a rabbit hole Google search (think page 7 on the results list), yielded a lead for a small-batch studio in the heart of Yorkshire.

(Check out more about our partners and our design process here).

Tres London is a labour of love: a quest to make better and do better.

We hope that with each piece, we bring more light into the world and we are grateful to have you on this journey with us.

Love,
